Meet Sara Kathryne
Sara Kathryne Isbell is a contemporary artist from Marietta, Georgia, and the founder of S.K. Isbell Fine Art. Known for creating timeless paintings that seamlessly blend traditional elegance with modern refinement, her work has been featured in beautifully curated spaces and showcased in homes recognized by leading publications. She has collaborated with several award-winning Interior Designers and exhibited in juried art shows, further establishing her presence in the art world. Sara Kathryne’s abstract paintings are recognized for their innovative yet elegant compositions, achieving the perfect balance of softness and structure.
Sara Kathryne graduated from nursing school at Samford University in 2020 and began her career as a Registered Nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. She believes it was a blessing and an honor to care for babies and their families during some of their most vulnerable moments. Sara Kathryne found joy in using arts and crafts to celebrate her patient’s milestones throughout their NICU journey! As a night shift RN, her “off-nights” were spent creating paintings for friends and family, and it became a way for Sara Kathryne to spread joy and love to those around her.
After being asked by a family member to commission her first abstract piece, Sara Kathryne knew she had found her true passion. Upon moving back home to Marietta, she started showcasing her art monthly at Scott’s Antique Market and began taking commissions from countless designers and collectors. As her business grew, Sara Kathryne took the leap to pursue her art career full-time in July 2024 and has never been happier!
When searching for her artistic style, Sara Kathryne wanted her paintings to reflect her love for transitional design and the balance of traditional elegance with modern refinement. The underlying geometric outlines in her paintings give each piece a contemporary edge, while her elegant approach to classic florals maintains the formality of her work. Sara Kathryne’s pieces are created using acrylic, oil pastel, and ink on canvas and deckle-edge paper.
Forever inspired by her transition from Registered Nurse to full-time artist, she holds a deep appreciation for healing of the body and, now, healing of the soul through art. Her passion and artistic journey captivates her collectors as her work brings warmth, meaning, and life to every space.
“Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we could ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us.”
